Myth #1: Bulk E-mail is Expensive -

Nope... bulk email is actually pretty affordable. For an initial investment of anywhere from $50-$100 you can already get an email advertising company to send something out for you.

Myth #2: Bulk E-mail is Not Profitable -

To the contrary - Bulk email campaigns can be extremely profitable if done right. There are many examples of people that have made thousands (hundreds of thousands) of dollars with it. - You can easily make over $1000 dollars per every 1 Million emails sent out. (It will depend a lot on what you’re selling).

Myth #3: Bulk E-mail is a non-Acceptable Way to Advertise -

Many people frown upon
the idea of "bulk email marketing"... the reason for that is because they don't completely understand how it works! Many big companies (Fortune 500) use bulk email marketing to advertise their products and services (ex: Phone companies advertising "RingTones" or new "CellPhones").

There are 2 different ways of sending bulk emails - Legal and "Not so Legal".

Legal: Purchase lists with Names, Emails, IP Address, Customer Interest, etc...

Create an Ad and include the following:

• A physical address
• A way to unsubscribe
• A small piece of text somewhere on the ad telling them "This is an Advertisement"

Not so Legal: Harvest emails from different websites and blogs.

• Do NOT include a physical address in the email
• Do NOT include a way to unsubscribe in the email
• Do NOT include a small piece of text somewhere on the ad telling them "This is an Advertisement".

Why do it the "Not so Legal" way when you can easily do it the Legal way? It will only take an extra 10 minutes and save you a whole lot of headache :) If you don't want to do it yourself, there are various companies out there that specialize in Bulk Email Marketing. - They take care of maintaining the email Advertisement legal so you don't have to worry about it. - It's probably the easiest route to go if you're new to bulk emailing.
